Plenty of people who walk into a card shop also collect something else: Funko Pops, LEGO, vintage toys or diecast cars. If that's you, a good reference book helps you know what you have, what's missing and what it might be worth. Here are the toy and collector books and magazines that are actually current.

Funko Pop
The Ultimate Funko Pop! Vinyl Collector's Guide: Master Edition 2026
From Pop Shop Guide, this is a big (532-page) hardcover checklist book. It has 91 checklists sorted by Pop! series and more than 20,000 figures, covering releases through September 2026. Exclusives are marked by retailer and convention, and variants (glow, flocked, chase and so on) are listed.
It's a checklist, not a price guide. It tells you what exists and what you're missing, not what it's worth. It's also independently published and not an official Funko product. The same publisher has also announced franchise editions and an encyclopedia.
Who it's for: anyone with a shelf full of Pops who wants to track a collection on paper.
Vintage toys and diecast
Toy Collectors Price Guide 2026
An annual special issue from Warners Group, the UK publisher behind Diecast Collector. It runs close to 100 pages of real auction results from the past year, covering diecast vehicles, model railways, tinplate, toy soldiers, and TV and film memorabilia, plus a round-up of collectibles sold on eBay.
It's UK-focused, so auction prices are often quoted in pounds, and US availability can be patchy. A digital edition is also sold through magazine apps.
Who it's for: anyone with a box of old toys in the attic wondering what they're worth.
LEGO
The LEGO Parts Guide
By Tom Alphin of the Brick Architect site, released in October 2026. It helps you identify and understand LEGO pieces, which is genuinely useful if you sort a big bulk collection or build your own designs. It isn't a set value guide.
Who it's for: adult fans and serious builders.
The LEGO Ideas Book
DK's long-running bestseller (over 2 million copies) has 500+ models and ideas split into themed chapters: transport, buildings, space, kingdoms, adventure and useful makes. It's the best way to make a bin of random bricks fun again.
Who it's for: kids and families, and a great gift alongside a LEGO set.
A note on toy price guides
Like card magazines, printed toy price guides are getting rarer, because prices move faster than print. Treat any printed value as a rough starting point. Then check eBay sold listings, filtered by condition and whether the box is included, before buying or selling anything valuable.
You'll find more Funko, LEGO and toy collector guides on Amazon, but check the publication date. An old guide can be badly out of date.
